Information Technology made a telling impact on the teaching-learning process. The emerging technology had a paradigm shift in education. We realized that it would be injustice on our part as educators if we close our eyes to the new trends in education. The painful realization was that without Computer Education our students are going to be semi-literates or half-educated. We started knocking doors of possible help to start a computer education project. Imparting of special education like this through Railway Administration was not feasible due to the additional cost involved. At this juncture the E.C.C. Bank of Central Railway at the initiative of National Railway Mazdoor Union came forward and donated one computer for our School on 8th October 1998. That was a good beginning but to educate more than one thousand students we required something big.
It is worth mentioning here that we started our project even before the Maharashtra State Government's issuing a Government Resolution to start computer education in all aided Schools with the help of Parent Teachers Association.
